About this Event
Join us for a special gathering at Bread & Roses Community Fund where we will discuss topics related to climate, health, and wellness within the Native, Indigenous, and Latine communities.
Climate change and adverse health and wellness outcomes are significant and increasing. This is particularly true for Native American, Alaskan Native, Indigenous & Latine communities, who face these issues due to historical injustices and the legacy of colonialism, which have resulted in a widening gap in access to healthcare and representation in decolonial climate justice solutions.
We invite you to join us in a safe space for sharing experiences, listening to each other, and building connections. Why are we hosting this event? Participants lived experiences, wisdom, and insights will be anonymously used to inform a climate and health feasibility project. This project aims to take the first step toward the potential development of a Bread & Roses Climate and Health Fund.
Who should attend: Community leaders and folks who work with community-based organizations, public health advocates, researchers, local activists, and Pan-Indigenious and Native-identifying residents available to share their knowledge and insights about climate, environment, health/wellness, and justice concerns.
Circle Participants will receive a $50 gift certificate for their time and a meal.
