About this Event
Join Destination Hike on Saturday, June 6 at 9:00am to celebrate National Trails Day®! We are hosting an incredible hiking event, social, and stewardship activity sponsored by the American Hiking Society®.
This day is about more than just miles; it’s about stewardship and sisterhood. We are proud to honor a demographic that has been historically underrepresented in outdoor spaces, yet is currently seeing a powerful surge in participation: women of color ages 30–60.
Event Details: This event is FREE and open to all who are comfortable completing a 4-mile hike. We will meet at 9:00am to connect and check in before we start our 4-mile hike at 9:15am. As we navigate the beautiful terrain, we’ll put our values into action by practicing "Leave No Trace" principles—picking up litter and clearing the path for those who follow. It’s our chance to give back to the trails that provide us with so much peace and clarity. Please note that there will be a professional photographer present to taking pictures to capture our wonderful hikers.
Event Celebration: The connection doesn't end at the finish line! After our trek, the celebration continues with a catered social open to all participants (You must have RSVP'd through Destination Hike Website). We’ll gather to share a hard-earned meal, build community, and toast to the land.
As a special thank-you, we have a limited number of Community Appreciation Giveaways reserved specifically for our highlighted demographic—women of color ages 30–60—to celebrate their vibrant presence and growing leadership in the outdoors.
We can’t wait to see you at the trailhead for a day of movement, food, and making a collective difference!
