About this Event
Therapy dogs volunteer to make the world a happier place, one hospital, nursing home, library and school at a time. April 30th is National Therapy Dog Day and these hard working pups deserve a day off to be recognized for their healing powers! To celebrate, join Zoomies from 5:30- 8:30pm where therapy dogs can get in for free to socialize and handlers can mingle and share about the joys of Animal Assisted Therapy! We will have a photographer on site doing mini sessions for therapy dog trading cards. This is open to all therapy dogs (and retired therapy dogs) from all groups. Local Houston groups will be in attendance and sharing information about therapy dogs for those interested.
Zoomies is a private dog park at 3123 Canal Street, Houston, TX 7700 with on and off leash sections that are monitored by staff. You can check them out at @zoomiesparks on Instagram.
We are accepting sponsors for this event with the goal of giving a donation to a therapy dog group in attendance , having raffles, door prizes or handouts for therapy dogs and handlers. You can reach out to [email protected] or 832-846-5068 for updates on the event.
