About this Event
NASS Lads is a photography exhibition which explores the lives of young men who have recently emerged from the UK’s National Asylum Support Service (“NASS”) system. Most arrived in the UK via small boats crossing the English Channel and have experienced homelessness since leaving Home Office hotel accommodation.
The single young men are often deemed non-priority by councils and struggle to secure a room and a job before being asked to leave the NASS hotels.
The idea of England and that Green and Pleasant Land still resonates with many around the world who seek to live here. The balance between showing compassion to those fleeing from war and persecution, whilst at the same time not forgetting and neglecting our own citizens, is an important issue for this generation.
Join us to hear their stories, reflect on policy, and explore how we can build a more just and inclusive future.
