WDA and the National Assocation of Scale Aeromodelers (NASA) are hosting a scale contest October 10-12 for rc scale events under AMA rules for Expert sport scale, Team Scsle, Open and Fun Scale/Pro Am. Static judging, Friday October 10. Two flying rounds Saturday October 11 and two rounds on Sunday October 12.
Looming for judges as well, we will assist with training. I’m looking for a good turnout from around the west. This will be fun, competitive and a learning experience for folks new to scale competition.
Interested in coming? Please reach out and let’s help you make it happen. We will do a few sessions at the field leading up to the event so that you know exactly how to enter, and compete successfully and have a fun experience. You will lessen something and enjoy the camaraderie of other scale modelers. See you at WDA in October.
We have 600 feet of Petromat runway, grass over runs and 600 feet of grass runway that we are refining every week. Covered pit areas, large newly graded and fabric covered pit areas, snack shack on site and rv camping available (no hookups).
Arriving early- no problem.
WDA has hosted the 2013 and 2016 scale masters. This will be a high quality event that you will remember. I look forward to seeing everyone!
