Learn how to create spontaneous stories live on stage. Although narrative improv uses similar techniques as other styles, it follows different patterns — and this 8-week course introduces you to the essential skills to do it confidently.
By the end of the course, you will know how to create fascinating and spontaneous stories on the spot. In addition, you will have exercised skills in building engaging worlds, story structure, and how to follow consequential actions to create a narrative, as well as learn the characteristics necessary for a good protagonist (or villain).
🎭 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲
As part of the course, you will have the opportunity to put your newfound skills to the test by creating and performing a narrative show on stage. This is a unique chance to showcase your abilities and gain valuable experience in front of an audience where you can invite friends and family.

📈 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 "𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫"?
An advanced improviser has experience performing or practicing longform formats. They can sustain two-person scenes, make callbacks in the moment, and confidently use edits like sweeps and tag-outs. If you’re unsure if this applies to you, feel free to reach out for clarification.
📅 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬?
While we encourage full attendance to get the most out of the course, we understand that life happens. Missing more than two classes may prevent you from successfully completing the course, as key concepts build week by week.
🎭 𝐃𝐨 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞?
The showcase is a chance to apply what you’ve learned in front of a friendly audience. While participation is strongly encouraged, it’s not mandatory.
