Nanaimo Idol 2026 Round 1

Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, Nanaimo Idol 2026 is one of Vancouver Island’s premier live singing competitions, showcasing local vocal talent from across Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, and the Lower Mainland.

Founded and produced by Jona Kristinsson of Indie Entertainment, Nanaimo Idol provides aspiring and established singers with the opportunity to perform live in front of audiences, industry professionals, and experienced judges in a supportive, high-energy environment.

The event features multiple preliminary competition nights leading into a live finale where finalists compete for prizes, recognition, and performance opportunities.

Contestants will compete over a series of preliminary rounds, with top performers advancing to the finals. Each preliminary night allows contestants to perform two songs, giving judges and audiences the opportunity to see versatility, stage presence, and vocal ability.
