Our Spring Rally will once again be at Living Forest in Nanaimo, it will be held June 5th to 7th and the theme is Tacky Tourist. Reservations can be made directly through Living Forest Campground by phone to book into a site. They still have a few in the group ring available. Living Forest #250-755-1755On the Friday afternoon we will have welcome drop in bingo with small prizes (prize donations welcomed). Your rally fee covers playing and there are no cash prizes. Friday evening meet and greet and hopefully a group propane fire probably around 7pm. We already have a fire ban so if people have a couple of propane fire pits to use that would be appreciated. I have confirmed with both Living Forest and Sayward we can have a campfire sing along with acoustic instruments as long as there are no noise complaints and we shut it down before quiet hours. If they get a noise complaint we’ll need to shut it down earlier.
Saturday is the busy day. We are hoping to once again have a free pancake breakfast for rally participants if we can figure out the logistics. We might be looking to borrow another blackstone griddle if anyone coming has one to lend and we might be looking for a pancake flipper if you are a person who can take on that role. Saturday open house and trailer viewing starting around 11 am for those participating. In the afternoon we have Lost Arts Club offering a craft class but you must prepay and reserve with Lost Arts Club. As well there is a potluck dinner on Saturday evening and a themed costume contest.
Sunday most people head home.
We ask for a $10 per trailer - rally fee to help cover costs and you'll receive 2 tickets to the door prize draw. The trailer fees this year will mostly cover the cost of breakfast and a couple of smaller prizes. With rising costs we’ve decided to limit our prizes instead of raising rally costs. Prize donations are always graciously accepted.
