ABOUT THIS EVENT
A 4-day, hands-on apprenticeship in the art of Ayurveda pulse reading, taught the traditional way, in a small group, with individual attention.
Most Ayurveda practitioners never receive formal training in Nadi Pariksha. Class sizes in India have grown too large, skilled teachers are scarce, and even graduating physicians often leave school without this foundational skill. The only way to truly learn pulse assessment is the old way: apprenticeship, repetition, and a teacher present enough to feel what you're feeling and correct you in real time.
This is that training.
Hosted at Jaisri Lambert's home in Surrey, BC, over the summer solstice, this annual Guru-Kula-style retreat continues the lineage of Dr. Vasant Lad's pulse assessment method, researched and documented in his book Secrets of the Pulse. Jaisri trained directly with Dr. Lad through an apprenticeship over thirty years ago and has since taught this method in India, the United States, and soon in Mexico.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- All seven layers of the Nadi according to Dr. Vasant Lad's method
- Practical pulse assessment in a small-group, hands-on setting
- Friday classroom teaching and case study
- Weekend deep-dive on Manas Prakruti and Vikruti (mental constitution and imbalance)
- Application of pulse findings to clinical assessment
WHAT'S INCLUDED
- 4 days of in-person instruction (Thursday through Sunday)
- Daily sattvic vegetarian lunches, prepared and shared
- Graduation ceremony and closing circle on Sunday, 5:00–6:00 PM (family and friends welcome)
- 24 hours of NAMA P.A.C.E. continuing education credits (12 hours for weekend-only participants)
DAILY SCHEDULE
- 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Morning session
- 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Sattvic lunch and rest
- 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Afternoon session
PREREQUISITE
This is a professional skill development program. To register, you must have completed a minimum of 600 hours of NAMA, approved Ayurveda education or equivalent.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER
Jaisri M. Lambert is a Canadian Ayurveda Doctor through an apprenticeship under Dr. Vasant Lad. She has taught Nadi Pariksha internationally, including at the Baba Khetanath Government Ayurveda College and Hospital in Narnaul, Haryana, India. She continues to teach this method as an annual summer solstice retreat at her home in Surrey, BC.
