📚 My Family Story – Brownie Badge Workshop 📚Hosted by High Plains Library District – LINC (Library Innovation Center)

Join us at LINC for a special hands-on workshop where Girl Scout Brownies will earn their My Family Story badge! We’ll explore family history, create family trees, discuss special heirlooms, and share personal stories.
Before the event, Brownies should:
✨ Interview a family member about their life and birthplace
✨ Learn where their family immigrated from and find it on a map
✨ Make a short family tree with names, relationships, and fun facts
✨ Bring a small photo or copy of a family picture for their “My Story Folder”
✨ Bring (or bring a photo of) a family heirloom to share with the group
✨ Think of four things about their family they can tell others
At the event:
📜 Create a family tree
🖼 Share stories and heirlooms
💬 Connect with others through personal histories
🏅 Earn the My Family Story badge (given at the end of the program)
⚠️ This is not a drop-off event – girls must attend with a caregiver or troop, and adult safety ratios apply.
