As well as showcasing brand new songs, the current live show is a deep dive into their extensive and revered back catalogue. Michael and Lou’s songs have been covered by over 40 different artists and featured in various films and TV shows. Lou’s song No Matter What Tammy Said was placed in the top 25 country songs of the 21st Century by Country Music People magazine, while Michael’s song Riding The Range was covered by the late, great Townes Van Zandt
Given their mutual love of other songwriters, expect a tastefully chosen cover version or two, including something written by Elvis Costello. Their 2021 album Country Darkness, a collection of Costello songs re-interpreted for duet, was made in collaboration with EC’s long standing pianist Steve Nieve
