About this Event
Play is often treated as something we grow out of. As adults, we optimise for efficiency, control, and outcomes. We become predictable. Careful. Sometimes a little rigid. It works, until it doesn't. Conversations feel flat. Work feels heavy. Relationships lose their spark.
So what happens when we bring playfulness back, not as escape, but as a way of engaging with life? Join us for an honest conversation with founders, creatives, and practitioners who have found new ways to show up with spontaneity and openness. Together, we explore how play shapes the way we think, lead, and relate to others.
The Panel
Damon Lye Ex-Ergotune Damon turned to improv in the middle of personal and professional shifts, and found a new way of showing up with spontaneity and openness. He'll share how unstructured play helped him navigate uncertainty and rediscover presence in both work and life.
Yvonne Seah Child Psychology and Early Education Yvonne is the founder of Tiny Tinkers, Singapore's sensory play specialists for young children. She built it from a simple belief: play isn't something children grow out of needing, it's something adults forget how to protect. She'll offer insight into what children know instinctively about play that adults have unlearned.
Melissa Sim How Drama Melissa is a former SPH editor and founder of How Drama, using theatre and storytelling to unlock creativity and presence in both adults and children. She'll explore how creative expression and drama can reconnect us to the playfulness we left behind.
