On March 8, Vorspiel returns — because some stories deserve to be lived more than once.
Vorspiel is a bilingual (German/Ukrainian) performance based on poems by Zlata Zhuravlova. Structured in three parts — Life, Love, and War — the piece interweaves memories of a home village, Berlin, the search for identity, intimacy, and the reality of war.
The performance unfolds as an intimate inner dialogue about choice, fear, responsibility, and hope. It is both personal and collective — a poetic reflection on displacement and belonging.
The project was created by a team of 15 Ukrainian and German artists. The original music was composed especially for the production by the Bezlich community.
The poems featured in the performance are part of the collection Vorspiel, published by KLAK Verlag.
