Andrew Weatherall was a special kind of human. Before setting sail for outer space one last time, he left lasting and important impressions across music, culture and the art of creativity generally here on planet earth. As a DJ, producer and label head, he championed eclecticism and depth. His work on Primal Scream’s Screamadelica helped legitimise dance music within alternative culture, while his DJ sets introduced generations to techno, acid, post-punk and leftfield disco as a coherent continuum. On Saturday 21st February, Struan Robertson and Michael Nicholson return to the Dougie mothership for a journey into all things Weatherall: his own productions, remixes and some of his favourite tracks.
