Prerequisite: None! Open to all adults 18 years or older!
This four-week workshop is an introduction to the fundamentals of musical improv for complete beginners and more experienced performers alike. Through games, exercises, and group play, we’ll explore how to make up songs, build musical scenes, and trust our instincts in the moment. We’ll focus on melody, rhythm, lyrics, character, and collaboration in a supportive, low-pressure environment designed to help everyone jump in and have fun.
We have community standards, a conflict process, and a COVID prevention policy in place. Agreement/acceptance of these policies is required to participate in BATS classes. Refunds / Transfers / Exchanges
All sales are final—once you’re in, you’re in! We don’t offer refunds, exchanges, or transfers. By enrolling, you’re saying “yes, and...” to your learning adventure and saving your spot to play, grow, and have fun.
Canceled Classes
If we need to cancel a class due to low enrollment, illness, or other surprises, you’ll receive a class credit good through the end of the calendar year. Credits can be applied to any BATS Improv class for which you've satisfied the prerequisites, or gifted to a friend or family member.
