Hansi, a single mother in rural Ethimale, Sri Lanka, has become a lifeline for hundreds of injured and abandoned street dogs and cats. With no formal training, under the guidance of a vet at times, she runs a makeshift clinic from her front veranda, treating animals with care and compassion — cleaning wounds, administering medication, desexing, and finding them loving homes.

She currently has 25 dogs and cats living with her, all once stray, now thriving thanks to her dedication. Despite walking up to 10–12km to rescue animals and covering vet visits over 30km away.
Hansi's biggest challenge remains transport costs. Without a vehicle, she relies on hired tuk-tuks, which is a massive financial burden.
To help Hansi continue her work and give the animals in her care a safer environment, we are raising funds for two important goals:
1. To buy Hansi a Tuk Tuk – So she can transport animals to the vet and rescue those in need without the strain of high costs.
2. To build a fence around her property – To ensure the safety and security of the animals she cares for, both the ones living with her and those under her temporary care.
