About this Event
Join us in welcoming Swedish supergroup Skogen to the UK as they celebrate 20 years together with a powerful new concert-length piece by Magnus Granberg, performed just days after its Stockholm premiere.
Magnus writes: "Trouble, Had it All My Days takes as its point of departure an aria (Seufzer, Tränen, ängstlich sehnen) from Bach’s Cantata BWV 21, Ich hatte viel Bekümmerniß, but borrows its title from the lyrics of a song by American blues singer and guitarist Mississippi John Hurt. The piece is scored for 13 musicians, the duration is approximately one hour."
