About this Event
Rhode Islanders are proud to catch a glimpse of the Kentish Guards Fife and Drum Corps in Gaspee Days parades and other events. Here's your chance to see them in concert, and to learn the fascinating history of one of the foremost corps in the nation -- your firends, neighbors, and hometown heroes. Upholding a living legacy of excellence, the Corps performs a diverse repertoire, blending traditional fife and drum melodies with authentic compositions passed down from 1774.
Selections may include “Yankee Doodle,” “Battle Hymn of the Republic”, “The World Turned Upside Down”, “Brandywine” -- with modern compositions and tributes to our Armed Services.
Bring the family -- youth and students admitted free. Please bring lawn chairs and blankets for this outdoor event. In case of rain, concert will more indoors, to be announced that morning.
