About this Event
Following on from the success of our event in April Notts Poetry and musican friends are back for two evenings of poetry and music in aid of WebCan.
21 November Music from Higgs Bo'sun Quartet and Friends. Higgs Bo'sun is a local band perfoming music of the British cultural tradition; they'll be joined by some Particles to sing a variety of shanties and other folk songs with great choruses for joining in.
28th November. Sea shanties and songs of canals and rivers from Landlocked Knotts Untamed – a local collective of shanty-loving folk singers. It doesn't matter if you cannot tell a yardarm from a halyard - there'll be plenty of opportunities to respond to the shantyman's call!
On both evenings Notts Poetry will share poems which celebrate life, love, Nottingham, travel and Cats!!
We were sold out in April so this time round you need to book. All proceeds from ticket sales going to WebCan
