Mushroom Cultivation for Beginners
Ready to dive into the fun world of mushroom growing? Join us for an in-person workshop where you'll learn all the basics to start your own little mushroom farm at home. Whether you're curious about types, setups, or tips, we've got you covered. Bring your questions and a love for fungi – it's gonna be a blast!
Session 1 – Agar (March 7th)
- Agar transfers and cloning
- Clean technique and contamination awareness
- Overview of the full cultivation process (agar → grain → substrate → fruiting)
Session 2 – Agar to Grain (March 14th)
- Transferring agar to grain
- Testing and using liquid culture
- Grain inoculation and substrate preparation
Session 3 – Grain to Fruiting Substrate (March 28th)
- Inoculating hardwood substrate
- Final recap and troubleshooting
- What to expect during fruiting at home
