Join Fred Conrad of Food Well Alliance for an overview of muscadine characteristics and culture! You'll get the basic information to plant and care for muscadine vines and learn how to be successful growing one of Georgia's easiest crops!

This workshop is part of our Annual Fruit Tree Sale. Shop for trees, enjoy delicious treats from local vendors and so much more! You can also pre-order trees online until February 9 at .

Instructor Bio:

Since 1997, Fred has coordinated a robust community garden program in metro Atlanta. Through this work, he has helped to grow and sustain hundreds of neighborhood community food gardens across metro Atlanta. In addition, Fred manages the Atlanta Plant a Row for the Hungry Campaign, one of the largest fresh local food donation programs in the US, serving thousands of people in need. Fred has been a Certified Organic grower and has a certificate in Horticultural Therapy. This year, Fred is coordinating the expansion of our Orchard Project through a partnership with The Giving Grove and is a certified arborist. Fred has taken on sourcing plant material for the Fruit Tree Sale and coordinates all the day-of-sale logistics every year.
