Murgatroyd:

Murgatroyd are an innovative six-piece jazz fusion band born out of the rich and diverse music culture of Leeds. Drawing from a wide range of influences across the UK, they come together to create a sound that celebrates individuality through collaboration.

Blending elements of grime, jungle, hip-hop and R&B through the lens of modern jazz, Murgatroyd channel the energy of the UK’s underground dance scene into a fresh and distinctive live sound.

Inspired by artists such as Robert Glasper, Dillinja, J Dilla and Erykah Badu, their performances are filled with soulful melodies, driving grooves and dynamics that captivate audiences & leave lasting impressions.

Manchild:

Manchild are a jazz/electronica trio from Leeds, UK. Alongside hosting tributes to artists such as Herbie Hancock, Knower and Ennio Morricone.

Their self titled EP, released in October this year, was born out of many late night sessions at Inspirations Central, the teaching centre where they work in Leeds. Using a convoluted mixture of cassettes, field recorders and voice memos, they embrace tape and digital artefacts in their music.
