MUNA is magic. After releasing their viral, life-affirming, queer anthem “Silk Chiffon,” featuring the band’s then-new label head Phoebe Bridgers back in late 2021, the band have taken the world by storm.
MUNA, the band’s self-titled third album, is a feat of an album — the forceful, deliberate, dimensional output of a band who has nothing to prove to anyone except themselves. MUNA was included on “Best Of 2022" year end lists including Billboard, Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, Stereogum, TIME Magazine, and many more. The band was also named Consequence’s 2022 Band of the Year.
MUNA is comprised of Katie Gavin (she/they), Naomi McPherson (they/them), and Josette Maskin (she/they). Previous singles like “Silk Chiffon,” “Anything But Me” and “What I Want” and their current building single “One That Got Away have the masses on board for this new, exciting chapter.
MUNA have been guests on Ellen, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, CBS Saturday, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and Austin City Limits Live on this album cycle alone.
The band recently wrapped a sold out US headline tour that included Coachella and stadium dates with Taylor Swift continue through this Summer. Also coming up are festivals such as Bonnaroo and All Things Go as well as European dates with boygenius and Reading/ Leeds Festival in the UK.
LA: $1 per ticket will be donated to charity. Funds will be sent to CHIRLA. CHIRLA was founded in 1986 to advance the human and civil rights of immigrants and refugees. They have since become one of the largest and most effective advocates for immigrant rights, organizing, educating and defending immigrants and refugees in the streets, in the courts, and in the halls of power.
