The beauty of this class lies in its boundless creativity—your choice of subject matter and size means that your unique vision takes center stage. Whether you’re painting a tranquil landscape, a vibrant still life or a stunning wildlife, the possibilities are endless.
This class is geared towards artists with at least some oil painting knowledge. You’ll receive the guidance and inspiration to elevate your work. Bring your own reference materials and supplies and get ready to immerse yourself in an unforgettable experience. A supply list is available to help you prepare. This is more than just a painting class—it’s an opportunity to discover the artist within and create something truly extraordinary.

ABOUT DIANE:
Diane Simmons specializes in a distinctive approach to oil painting, utilizing a small palette knife to craft vibrant landscapes, lifelike animals, and dynamic still life compositions. Unlike the impasto abstract style often associated with palette knife work, her technique focuses on achieving finely detailed and realistic imagery. With years of experience teaching at Plaza and various institutions across Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Oregon and Arizona, Diane am dedicated to sharing my passion for this unique art form. Diane’s work has been showcased in galleries in Texas, Arizona and Colorado as well as in private collections across the U.S. and Canada.
