About this Event
**As part of this workshop, we are offering 1-FREE bacteria and ARL test per household. THIS IS A SAVINGS OF $250! What a great value!
Do you know where your well water comes from or how well water may become contaminated? Want to know when you should have your water tested and what to test for? Join us for a workshop to learn about how private wells and septic systems work, maintenance, and about drinking water quality. Learn how to help ensure a safe drinking water supply for yourself and your family!
As part of our workshop, we will be offering facilitated water testing for total coliform bacteria and E. coli, as well as lead. An additional ARL water test through UF includes nitrate, pH, suspended solids, calcium, magnesium, iron, manganese, sodium, and chloride.
We will also be covering treatment options if contaminants are found. Testing kits will be provided in the workshop and samples will need to be returned after the event.
IMPORTANT: Samples for testing must be returned after the workshop on Wednesday, June 3rd. Drop-off locations are available in Bay, Calhoun, Jackson and Washington counties from 8:00 AM to 12 noon in Bay and until 1pm in all other counties. Please consider this when signing up for testing.
