About this Event
“I believed you would be the charity that outlived me.Now, I find myself here…building the charity that outlives you.”— Ali Duale
This Ramadan, we invite you to gather with us for a community iftar held in honour of Mubarak — a young man whose life, patience, and faith moved hearts far beyond those who knew him personally.
Mubarak met illness not with fear, but with trust in Allah. Where others might have despaired, he spoke of blessing. Where pain could have hardened the heart, his softened it. In his quiet strength, he reminded us that faith is not proven in ease, but revealed in hardship.
When Mubarak returned to Allah in late 2025, his legacy became visible in a way no one could have planned. His janazah filled Ummah Masjid beyond capacity — uniting elders and youth, Muslims and non-Muslims, neighbours, friends, and strangers alike. Without ever standing behind a microphone, Mubarak brought people together.
This evening is not one of mourning alone, but of reflection, remembrance, and responsibility. Through reflections from family and friends, a short video tribute, and a shared iftar, we will honour Mubarak’s life and continue the charitable work inspired by him through Mubarak Foundation — an effort rooted in youth leadership, service, and sadaqah that lives on.
