About this Event
Mission Blue follows oceanographer Sylvia Earle on a global journey to protect the world’s oceans. The film explores the critical role oceans play in sustaining life on Earth and the mounting threats they face from overfishing, pollution, and climate change. Central to the documentary is the concept of “Hope Spots,” vital marine areas identified for protection to help restore ocean health. Mission Blue is both a scientific call to action and an inspiring reminder that collective effort can still safeguard the blue heart of the planet.
