About this Event

🪷 Move & Meander: Yoga + Hiking with Jayde 🪷

🗓️ Saturdays, September 6 – November 1 (No hike September 20th, no class September 27th)

⌚ 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

📍 Elysian Park, Los Angeles (Location within the park may change each week--exact location and detailed instructions on how to get there will be sent the evening before!)

Join me for a nourishing Saturday morning of yoga, community, and gentle hiking surrounded by the beauty of Elysian Park. This offering is designed to ground you, connect you with nature, and invite you into deeper rest and connection with yourself and others. Wheather you have had a yoga practice for years, you've never taken a yoga class, or anywhere in between, this space welcomes you! ✨

Flow of the Experience:

• 11:00 AM – Arrival + community engagement 🪷

• 11:30 – 12:45 PM – Yoga class 🧘

• 1:00 – 2:00 PM – Optional hike 🚶‍♀️

What to Expect:

Our yoga practice begins with pranayama (guided breathwork to get grounded and calm), then flows into gentle warm-ups which may include some organic, dance-like movement, standing asanas, and strengthening sequences. We’ll close with restorative postures, guided relaxation, and moments to rest immersed in the sounds of nature. The practice will include a new playlist each week as well as other sensory elements like essential oils, sage, incense, and small instruments.

Each class will hold a weekly intention, while leaving space for you to set your own—taking what resonates and leaving what doesn’t. This class is open to all levels, with modifications provided and the freedom to rest or adapt as you need.

After yoga, we’ll break for 15 minutes, then those who wish to can join an optional hike (mild, no more than 2 miles, sometimes less than a mile) to viewpoints in Elysian Park. These hikes are less about distance and more about breathing together, soaking in nature, and connecting in community.

What to Bring:

• Yoga mat (or towel/blanket alternative)

• Extra towel/blanket for under your mat (to keep it clean outdoors)

• Water & snacks

• Sun protection

• Relaxation items for savasana (eye mask, essential oils, blanket, props, etc.)

• Camera if you'd like to take photos on the hike

**I have 3 yoga mats and 3 blankets available for people to use, if you’d like to reserve one send me a dm/text and I’ll hold it for you!

Energy Exchange: Sliding scale $8– $25

This space is held with special care for POC, though all are welcome!

Info: Please plan to arrive at 11 am -- this will give you time to enter the park, park your car, and walk to our location. We will be starting yoga right at 11:30, so please plan for 11 arrival to give yourself ample time to find us, set up your space, and go to the bathroom if needed. Late arrivals are still welcome and encouraged to participate (trust me, i totally get it, there will be specific spots set up for late comers so they can easily join), however the 30 extra mins provided by the arrival time is made so we can all experience the full class with minimal interruption! Arriving early allows you to settle in without feeling rushed, start to meet the people you'll be practicing with, and who knows, maybe there will even be a delicious treat for people who arrive early enough :))
