Move and Meet: Get Outside, Meet Others – Stafford Park

Hello, I’m Hayley, and I run the Interpersonal Hub, a therapy and support space focused on relationships.

In my work, I use an interpersonal approach, which looks at how the relationships around us impact how we feel day to day. A big part of that is building what we might call an “interpersonal team” — the people in your life who offer connection, encouragement, and a sense of being alongside others.

That team might be made up of friends, family, a partner, or just one or two people you trust. And part of developing that team is either strengthening the relationships you already have, or creating new opportunities for connection.

This space is about making room for both.

You might come along with someone you already know and spend time together in a different way. Or you might come on your own and find yourself naturally getting to know others over time.

Move and Meet is a relaxed community space where that can happen without pressure. There’s no expectation to share anything personal, and no requirement to talk constantly. You can join in conversation, or simply walk alongside others and take it at your own pace.

For some people, it will be about having a conversation.
For others, it might simply be about getting out, being around people, and not being on your own for a while.

Although I am a therapist, this isn’t therapy. It’s a community space, and a different way of building connection.

You’re free to talk, listen, or simply be present.
You can dip in and out of conversation as it feels right.

There are a few options to join, depending on what feels right for you:

  The procededs from this ticket goes to the Samaritans, a UK charity that provides confidential, non-judgemental support to anyone struggling to cope, offering a safe space to talk and be heard.

Booking in advance is helpful to make the group run smoothly.

• Location: Victoria Park, Tenterbanks, Stafford ST16 2QF
• Meeting point: Between Alberts cafe and the Toilets.

• Duration: Up to 1.5 hours
• Pace: Gentle and flexible
• Parking: The nearest car parks are either Tenterbanks or Doxey Road (near Sainsburys) but you can park in any of the Town Centre car parks and follow the finger posts.
• You can also reach the park by public transport, please visit Traveline or call 0871 200 22 33.
• Time of arrival: Please aim to arrive around 5–10 minutes before the start time so we can set off together.

You are welcome to stay for the full walk or leave earlier if needed.

This is primarily an adult space, but children are welcome if accompanied by an adult at all times.

Dogs are welcome, but should be kept under control and on a lead where appropriate, especially around others in the group.

You are responsible for the children and dogs you bring, including their safety and behaviour at all times.

• Routes are chosen to be as accessible as possible, though some terrain may be uneven
• Stafford Park has generally flat paths, but please consider your own mobility needs
• If you have specific access requirements, feel free to get in touch beforehand

Walks will go ahead in most weather conditions unless it is unsafe to do so.

If the walk needs to be cancelled due to weather or safety concerns, you will be contacted in advance.

• This is not a therapy session or clinical service
• There is no expectation to talk about personal experiences
• You are responsible for your own wellbeing during the walk
• Attendance is at your own discretion and responsibility

You don’t need to know anyone.
You don’t need to be “good at socialising.”

Just turn up… and take it at your own pace.
