Mouse Taxidermy (2-part class)

Join us for a hands-on mouse taxidermy workshop designed for adults and mature teens interested in learning small mammal specimen preservation. Working step by step in a supportive studio environment, students will learn the fundamentals of taxidermy by mounting a mouse from start to finish, learning how to create a naturalistic result. Safety, cleanliness, and respect for the animals will be thoroughly addressed throughout the process.

By the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with a completed mounted mouse and a foundational understanding of taxidermy techniques that can be applied to future projects.

This class is taught by visiting artist-in-residence Zoe Nielsen. Zoe joins us for the month of May. You can learn more about her here!

This class is held in the Art Barn at our Art Farm location at 45 Hawthorne Lane. Directions and parking information will be included in your confirmation email.

Schedule: Friday May 8th and Saturday May 9th from 3-6pm

If you register more than three weeks before this class begins, a 20% early bird discount will automatically be applied to your ticket at checkout.

Sustaining tickets help us continue to invest in programming. Full price tickets cover the costs associated with running classes. Accessibility tickets are priced below what it costs for us to run a class. If the cost of a full price ticket is a hardship, we encourage you to purchase a sliding scale ticket. If you can pay the full price or sustaining price, please choose that option so we can keep providing arts programming to the community.
