Coming from Paris, France, Mourning Dawn came to life 20 years ago, and is considered as one of the pioneers in the Black/Doom metal genre. Their 5th album, "The Foam Of Despair", released in 2024 through Aesthetic Death (Esoteric, Fleurety) was a real artistic and commercial success, offering what the band does the best : Something between oppressive Death/doom and Black Metal aggressiveness with post/industrial influences. Think about Forgotten Tomb, Neurosis, Katatonia or Godflesh, and you can still get only a vague idea of what's played here. Not for the fainted hearts.

The bastard progenies of the witchfinder come together again, this time with fresh forces. Despite suffering a shameful defeat back in 2015, a new era unfolds now. Lessons were learned, adepts were changed for the second assembly. Sonic fragments of sludge, doom and stoner metal origins shall ensue, unfolding tales of moral panic, subversive activities and disloyalty.
