The Film
The Mountain Races started in Kyrgyzstan in 2018, with the inaugural edition of the Silk Road Mountain Race. Since then, the series has developed a reputation for being some of the most inspiring ultra-distance races in the world. 'Mountains and Trees' takes a closer look at the person behind the races, Nelson Trees. It explores why people attempt these types of races with no prizes, what they learn, and what they experience in the remote places that host the events.
An Albion & Pertex production, this film is touring throughout 2026 and will be released online later in the year.
