Mountain Bike Trails in Alamance County - a meeting for public input

Alamance County has purchased the Alston Quarter Tract near Saxapahaw and will develop it as a new County Park.  This 763-acre parcel features significant elevation changes and rock outcroppings, making it a very attractive venue for mountain biking.  The county has no dedicated mountain bike trails and has targeted the Alston Quarter Tract for this specific use.

Alamance County Parks and Recreation is hosting two preliminary meetings to provide a basic description of the project and gather ideas for recreational opportunities on this property.  If you missed the first meeting on April 14, here's your chance to provide input and enthusiastic support. Your presence can help ensure that progressive, and challenging mountain bike trails are included in the County’s plans.
