Celebrate the heritage of Glencoe Cotton Mills and the Textile Heritage Museum. In April 1882, Glencoe Cotton Mills began producing plaid cotton fabrics, which had initially been started by his father, Edwin Holt, in the village of Alamance. In March 2004, the Textile Heritage Museum had its grand opening, which continues to share the textile heritage of Alamance County and North Carolina.
We invite craftspeople (textile, woodworking, jewelry, painting, and pottery) living historians/reenactors and other history and art minded artisans to join us setting up and showing and selling your talents.
