Motupipi School Fun Trail Run - Sunday 3rd May, 2026 (Rain postponement date: Sunday 17th May)
Get ready to lace up for the Motupipi School Fun Run, a one-of-a-kind course that showcases the very best of our backyard.
Starting right at Motupipi School, runners and walkers will head out along a scenic farm track before climbing into the mountain bike trail. From there, the course winds through beautiful native bush and pockets of old pine forestry, creating a true off-road adventure. Along the way you’ll catch stunning views out over the inlet – the perfect excuse to slow down, take a breath, and soak it all in.
Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just in it for the fun, this is a relaxed, family-friendly event that celebrates our incredible local landscape while raising funds for our school. Bring your whānau, bring your friends, and come enjoy a run you won’t forget.
Motupipi School Fun Trail Run will start from Motupipi School, parking will be available behind the school. Please follow the direction signs for parking.
- 8.30am Registration opens
- 9.20am Race briefing: 8.4km + 13.5km
- 9.30am Race begins for 8.4km and 13.5km
- 11.15am Warm up and race briefing for Family Fun Run 3.5km*
- 11.30am Race begins for Family Fun Run 3.5km
- 12.30 Prize giving to start after all runners back.
(*Any runners under the age of 8 in the Family Fun run, will need to be accompanied by an adult/caregiver)
Prizes for first female and male runners in the two longer races and spot prizes for runners/walkers in all races.
Face painting, raffle tickets, delicious baking, cafe-style coffee, and a sausage sizzle will be available throughout the day.
Race day entries: cash payments and eftpos is available on the day.
