Flashband is bringing the sweet sounds of Motown-era music to Pearl Street Warehouse! Get ready to vibe, groove, and dance in the streets with your favorite Motown-era artists and songs of the ‘60s and ‘70s, pulling from the catalogs of heyday labels and studios including Motown, Stax, Muscle Shoals, and all the rest. Eight all-new Flashbands will fill the summer air with soul-stirring covers of the greats: The Temptations, The Supremes, Jackson 5, Tammi, Stevie, Marvin, Gladys, Smokey, Sam, Aretha, Isaac, Otis, and so many more. If Motown gets you going, mark your calendars for the registration drop!
How the lottery works
Register for a spot in the lottery between 12-2pm ET on Monday 6/17
- Once you've completed your purchase, you'll receive an automated email from Eventbrite verifying your lottery spot. This does not confirm your participation in Flashband.
- After the lottery is closed, you'll get a follow-up email from the Flashband Director with more details on what to expect.
- Within 24-48 hours, our system will randomly sort lottery registrants and you will receive an email with your status and next steps:
>> Participants (performers) will receive a Welcome and Jam Prep email. This tells you all you need to know about the Meet & Greet Jam on 4/28 and how to prepare. You'll have 48 hours to notify the Director if you can't participate.
>> Waitlisters will receive a Waitlist email. Waitlisters will be contacted by the Director if a slot becomes available, and will be refunded after the showcase if they do not come off the waitlist. Waitlisters do not attend the jam. More details in FAQs at www.flashbanddc.com.
Requirements: You must be available for the jam date and the showcase date to participate.
