Event Description

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a powerful, evidence-based communication approach that helps professionals support meaningful and lasting behavior change. This 1-day Motivational Interviewing Workshop is designed to build practical skills for engaging clients, managing resistance, and strengthening internal motivation—without confrontation or pressure.

This hands-on training focuses on real-world application. Participants will learn how to move conversations forward when clients feel stuck, ambivalent, or resistant to change. Through guided practice, demonstrations, role-plays, and reflective exercises, attendees will gain confidence in using MI techniques across healthcare, mental health, social services, coaching, education, and organizational settings.

Rather than telling clients what to do, MI emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and autonomy, helping individuals find their own reasons for change. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to integrate MI principles naturally into everyday conversations and professional practice.

This workshop is ideal for professionals seeking effective communication tools, improved client engagement, and greater confidence in facilitating change conversations.
