Peer support group for mothers struggling with perinatal mental health challenges.We understand how difficult it can be to get help when you're struggling. Waiting times to see doctors and therapists are long. MotherWit Doula Care provides a space for parents to make connections, share their stories, resources, and create a supportive community together.
This is a peer to peer support group. This is not group therapy.
Open Group, no need to reserve.
Babies in arms (and in bellies) are welcome. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate mobile babies.
There is a steep staircase to reach the space, so leaving strollers at home is a good idea
Water, coffee, tea, and cookies will be provided. We will not, however, be providing drinking vessels, so please bring your own cup/mug/water bottle.
We will end each session with a five minute mindfulness/somatic activity to bring soothing to the nervous system.
