About this Event
The Montreal AI Symposium (MAIS) was initially created to bring together experts and professionals interested in fundamental advances and applications of artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on machine learning, deep learning and related approaches from the greater Montreal Area. But it has evolved. It has become a celebration of the achievements of local Montrealers in AI and it has fostered discussion, discovery, and dissemination of machine learning and artificial tools to new areas and topics beyond their original applications, inspiring a new generation of AI-ers in the Greater Montreal Area.
For this year’s edition, the theme of the symposium will be AI and Governance. We will feature a day-long event, including keynote talks, contributed talks, posters and a panel, including a cocktail for networking and meeting with sponsors.

The event will be in-person. You will need a valid registration to attend the event. Please be aware that by registering here, you are indicating your intention to participate. Confirmation of your participation will be provided one week prior to the event. If we receive more registrations than the venue can accommodate, we will conduct a random draw to determine in-person attendance with a focus on prioritizing students and members of underrepresented communities.
The event will take place at Centre Mont-Royal, Montréal on Thursday, October 10 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm with a lunch break, a coffee break and during the day.
