At our Moth Night BioBlitz, we’ll use UV lights to attract and document nocturnal insects, creating a “species snapshot” for that location and date using the iNaturalist app.This FREE event supports our preservation efforts by helping document plants and animals in our urban areas. This information helps researchers and conservation groups better understand how species live and spread within our cities. We also encourage attendees to log their observations in the iNaturalist app during the event to contribute to the global City Nature Challenge.
This is an outdoor event, so we encourage participants to wear appropriate clothing and bring bug spray.
