Aside from select festival appearances in recent years at Killtown Deathfest, and UK and Netherlands Deathfests, appearances on European shores are extremely rare for Morta Skuld, with this being their first ever full tour on the continent (with many countries being virgin territory for the band). Having celebrated the 30th anniversary of cult album ‘Dying Remains’ last year, the band is experiencing a real renaissance of late (having just completed a tour of South and Central America with Malevolent Creation), and their latest offering ‘Creation Undone’ was released in late February through Peaceville Records to widespread acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic.
Speaking ahead of the upcoming tour, Morta Skuld frontman Dave Gregor expressed that “We are extremely excited about this upcoming European tour and working with Killtown Bookings. Our new album, Creation Undone, is one of our finest moments and we look forward to sharing the new tracks with our fans in Europe.”
The tour is bolstered by the addition of UK death dealers Decrepid embarking on their first European tour since 2017, and whose latest long play release ‘Endless Sea of Graves’ (Xtreem Music) is a blistering tour-de-force of old school brutality. Known for their ferocious live performances, Decrepid are the ideal accompaniment to the heavyweight headliners.
