The Morgan Turner Quartet, led by bassist and composer Morgan Turner, debuts with us at Dorothy this March!
Featuring Morgan Turner on Bass & Compositions, Michael Hudson-Casanova on Saxophone, Andrew Sudhibhasilp on Guitar and Rohan Marr on Drums - this night of live jazz in Dorothy is not to be missed.
Doors at 6pm with a one hour happy hour until music begins at 7pm. Dorothy remains open after the show until last call, 11pm.
There will be a $12 door cover for this event until 8pm.
RSVPs do not guarentee entry and are rather for calendar reminders and anticipated guest level. Guests are encouraged to arrive early for entry and best seating.
Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical ID for all attendees to enter. ABOUT MORGAN TURNER
Morgan Turner is a Chicago based bassist and composer. She received her Bachelor of Music from Northern Illinois University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Music at Western Michigan University. Morgan was selected to be a part of the Women in Jazz Organization 2023 mentorship program, during which she was mentored by composer Ayn Inserto. Morgan is member of the Chicago jazz collective IRIS, who released their self-titled debut album on Shifting Paradigm records in spring of 2024. In 2022, IRIS was one of four groups across the U.S. selected for the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Academy. Morgan also leads her own group, the Morgan Turner Quartet, that plays regularly in Chicago.
