It is once again time to sign up to be part of Rutherford County’s 25th Annual Earth Day Celebration! The event will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the historic public square in downtown Murfreesboro.
The theme, “Go Green, Breathe Clean,” underscores the importance of protecting and improving the air we all share. The event encourages residents to embrace greener habits that reduce pollution and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable environment.
Rutherford County’s Earth Day Celebration aims to educate and mobilize our community into action. This year, we ask that your booth reflect our theme of “Go Green, Breathe Clean.” Some examples of how the theme could be used are through hands-on, family-friendly activities that teach kids and adults about clean energy, healthy air, and simple ways to care for the environment. Interactive displays might include easy-to-understand demonstrations of renewable energy, take-home tips for reducing pollution at home, and fun activities that show how everyday choices impact air quality. Booths can also highlight community efforts such as local clean-energy projects, eco-friendly businesses, tree-planting initiatives, and volunteer opportunities that families can enjoy together while helping protect the environment.
