More Than Blue is a powerful documentary that sheds light on the often-overlooked realities of perinatal mental health disorders, sharing deeply personal stories of struggle, resilience, and recovery.
Following the screening, there will be a talkback moderated by Dr. Shanah Segal, clinical and forensic psychologist focusing on reproductive and perinatal care, and featuring esteemed panelists:
Paige Bellenbaum - a perinatal mental health specialist committed to advancing outcomes for new and expecting parents through policy, education and direct practice
Erin Coles - Head of Operations at birthFUND, an organization dedicated to funding safe, midwife-led births and expanding access to the care every mother deserves
Megan Henderson - a postpartum psychosis survivor and the host of Mom Breaks, a podcast exploring the stories and science behind this often misunderstood condition
Kiya Jacob - a mother featured in More Than Blue, Kiya is a New York–based creative professional with a background in hospitality and community organizing. As a mom, she navigates work and everyday life while focusing on content, digital strategy, and creating spaces where people feel seen.
Together, we’ll discuss how, as a village, we can better support one another with compassion, awareness, and care.
