About this Event

Event Description

More Than a Game explores Lincoln City Football Club and the wider cultural landscape through the lens of sports history.

This interactive session, held inside Branston Legends Lounge at the LNER Stadium, brings together storytelling, discussion, and community voices to explore how football shapes lives, identity, and belonging.

From the roar of the Stacey West Stand to walking down Sincil Bank with your grandad, from the first match that hooked you to the friendships, family traditions, and matchday rituals that make the club feel like home, your memories are part of the Imps’ story.

The event features:

  • Stories collected from fans across generations
  • Reflections from key figures connected to the club
  • A live discussion exploring football, identity, and community in Lincoln

Guest Speakers

We’re delighted to be joined by:

  • Rob Bradley – Chair of the Red Imps Community Trust
  • Alan Long – PA announcer at Sincil Bank Stadium since 1997, supporter liaison officer, and a familiar voice to generations of fans
  • Kate O'Reilly – Community Manager at Lincoln City Foundation
