Ever wonder how scientists study and monitor microplastics in our water? Join us for a guided tour of the Moore Institute for Plastic Pollution Research. They are one of only two labs in the world accredited to test for microplastics in drinking water. Discover cutting-edge research and sustainable solutions tackling plastic pollution and waste management and hear directly from the team what it's like working in this pioneering space.

BYO Month in Long Beach 2025 is a month-long celebration of Long Beach businesses dedicated to reducing single-use plastics. Use your reusable containers (cups, bags, containers) at participating locations and join in on BYO Month events to collect stamps and submit your stamp card to be entered to win fun prizes.
