Join us at the 4th Annual City of Long Beach Filipino American History Month (FAHM) Celebration. This free event will be held on Tuesday, October 7th at the Long Beach Civic Center, located at 411 W. Ocean Boulevard. There will be a Community Resource Fair/Marketplace at the Civic Center plaza at 2:00 pm β 7:00 pm. The FAHM Celebration and Program will be at 3:00 β 5:00 pm at the Civic Center lobby, followed by City Council presentation at 5:15 pm. Free parking is available at 332 W. Broadway.Each year, this celebration brings together community members, city leaders, cultural advocates, and organizations to honor the rich history, contributions, and resilience of the Filipino Americans in Long Beach. Last yearβs celebration drew strong community support, and we expect even more attendees this year. We are honored to have as our keynote speaker, Romeo O. Garcia, the newly appointed Inaugural National Director of the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS).
