About this Event
Moonlight March
Moonlight March is a night-time fundraising walk along the iconic 15-mile Round Sheffield Walk, taking place on Saturday 25th April. Starting and finishing at Endcliffe Park, this event offers a genuine physical challenge in a supportive, flexible format — open to adults, families, and dogs on leads.
About the event
The route follows the well-known Round Sheffield Walk, taking participants through Sheffield’s parks and green spaces, staying largely within the city with regular access to roads and transport links. This makes it ideal for those looking for a challenge while appreciating the reassurance of an urban route — with the option to step out early if needed.
With longer spring evenings and a moonlit route, Moonlight March is a brilliant way to experience Sheffield after dark while raising vital funds for Shelter.
The walk will:
- Start at 6pm from Endcliffe Park
- Follow a marked 15-mile route
- Be supported by a lead guide
- Allow participants to walk at their own pace using provided maps
- Include checkpoints staffed by Shelter volunteers offering refreshments
- Finish back at Endcliffe Park by 1am
This is not a paced or regimented walk. Participants are free to move independently, take breaks, and manage their own pace throughout.
