Informal monthly drop-in sessions to help you on your Wordpress website journey.
About this Event

Wordpress is a free (open source) content management system used widely to build websites. In 2023 Nico facilitated a Masterclass series to help people on their Wordpress website journeys. Those sessions were so popular that we've invited him back!

But this time, instead of taught lessons, Nico will start each session with a 30 minute introduction to Wordpress (for those who are complete beginners) and then open up for questions. Nico will support individuals with their specific issues. Participants will also be encouraged to support each other.

Who are these workshops for?
  • Anyone interested in building a website with Wordpress
  • Anyone interested in learning new WordPress skills
  • Wordpress users with specific issues that they are unable to resolve independently

Workshop Facilitator

Nico is a web developer with 5+ years of experience in the tech industry. In his spare time, Nico dedicates himself to supporting charities, non-profit organisations, community groups, and freelancers in establishing their online presence. Last year, Nico participated in the successful launch and facilitation of the Lift Off project, a collaborative initiative between Outlandish and Founders and Coders. The project aimed to teach WordPress development and empower aspiring professionals to excel in their careers. He actively advocates for LGBTQ+ rights, as part of the Oxford Pride committee, and promotes the representation of BME individuals as the lead developer for Black Artforms and Black Leaders in H.

SPACE4

SPACE4 is part of Outlandish, a co-op that builds websites and digital tools for social good. We are interested in tech for good, progressive economics, and left-leaning politics. We provide co-working, meeting, and events space, primarily to social enterprises and digital activists. We also organise and host a range of events, workshops, and meetups around these topics.

This workshop is part of an ongoing programme of masterclasses to increase employability in our borough and beyond. We are funded by Islington Council.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch or visit us.

The £5 charge on this event is a deposit that will be refunded if you attend. The reason behind this is to assure bums on the seats as we spend a lot of time prepping for these events and workshops. If you’re unable to pay contact [email protected] for free registration.
