Monster is a solo spoken word show by Naomi Wood (Gobbess and 'force of nature'- Brighton and Hove news), exploring our relationship to all that we find terrifying. It is a hilarious and heartwarming true story about looking and being seen and all the ways we seek connection. Naomi is a spoken word performer and theatre maker, celebrating rebellion and revelling in rage whilst maintaining a healthy preoccupation with the eroticism of bird feeders. Her solo spoken word show Gobbess has toured the UK and internationally, with shows at Edinburgh Fringe, Glastonbury Festival and in Oslo. It has been described as 'Laugh-out-loud funny', 'delightful', 'raw, powerful and incisive', 'pure magic...unmissable' as well as a 'mic drop on women's experiences'. Naomi has been published by Backlash Press as well as Ink, Sweat and Tears, and Mslexia. She was recently shortlisted for The Bournemouth Writing Prize.
Monster is a show for anyone who has been afraid to dip their toe in or felt all at sea. A true story about feeling exposed and learning to love both people and pond life.
